ChatGPT-5 has landed!

And while most of the internet is rushing to see what it can do, I’m over here thinking about how it’s going to shape the way clients choose their therapist – and how you show up online.

For months now, consumers have been using AI tools to recommend therapists. They’re not just Googling anymore. They’re going to ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and asking things like:

  • “Who are the best trauma therapists near me?”
  • “Find a counsellor who works with midlife anxiety in a warm, informal way.”
  • “Recommend a grief therapist who works online and understands expat life.”

These tools aren’t magic. They don’t pull from a secret list. They pull from what’s visible, current, consistent and relevant online. If you’ve been hiding behind a static old directory profile or a website that hasn’t been updated in years, you’re already invisible in this new search world.

What ChatGPT-5 Changes

With this new update, AI isn’t just retrieving answers…. it’s reasoning better, connecting dots faster, and understanding tone and style. That means if your online presence is rich with your voice, your personality, and the depth of connection you bring to therapy, you’re far more likely to surface in a recommendation that feels human, not generic.

If your content reads like the same churned-out captions everyone else is posting, AI can’t tell you apart from the noise …and neither can potential clients.

Why My Clients Stand Out

I’ve been teaching my clients to train ChatGPT to be their assistant, but not in the copy-and-paste way we all see online. I show them how to feed it with their uniqueness, their client’s deep psychographics, their tone, their values, and the little details that make their work unforgettable.

So when they use AI to help with marketing, it’s still their words. Their energy. Their truth. You won’t read one of their posts and think “Yep, that’s AI.” You’ll just feel the connection, and so will the person searching for exactly what they offer.

The Reality Moving Forward

The tool is the same for everyone. The difference is in how you programme it, and how you keep showing up online so AI sees you as relevant, trustworthy, and exactly what your ideal clients are asking for.

ChatGPT-5 isn’t the future… it’s the NOW.

Yes I know I keep banging on about it, but If your online presence isn’t already connecting deeply and consistently, you risk being invisible in the very recommendations where your next clients are looking, and that’s worth banging my drum for !!

If you’re reading this and realising your directories and website might be stuck in 2015 marketing… you’re not alone. The good news is, this isn’t about scrapping everything, it’s about shifting how you show up so both humans and AI can actually find and trust you.

I teach therapists how to do exactly this in a way that feels ethical and natural – no gimmicks, no performative social media, just connecting content that works.

The future of finding a therapist is already here. Are you making yourself findable? If you don’t want to get left behind, my membership is reopening soon. It’s where I show therapists how to stand out in an AI‑driven world:

  • Build trust that goes beyond “safe space” statements
  • Understand and speak to your ideal clients on a psychographic level
  • Show up confidently online without feeling salesy
  • Create content that actually gets you found and chosen

Doors reopen on 1st September, and priority list places always go first. If you want the first access, limited to 25 newcomers, message me below and I’ll give you all the info!
